Foundation Program
Advanced Coach Training
Certification-Mandated

The ORGANIZER COACH FOUNDATION PROGRAM is designed for Professional Organizers and Productivity Specialists. It’s the starting place and core training for four certification programs. Our full curriculum is an International Coach Federation Accredited Coach Training Program (ACTP). Each course within it has ICF Approved Coach-Specific Training Hours status.

Start with Coaching Essentials CE is a stand-alone course designed to train organizers in the use of great, basic coaching skills and strategies. It’s also the first course in our Foundation Program. Our teleconference-based courses are intensive and participatory. Coaching Essentials will give you powerful listening and questioning skills – and it might be all the coach training you want for the client work you do.

The Organizer Coach Foundation Program Continues! For many Coaching Essentials students, the training offers a methodology for client work that feels so valuable, aligned and right, they want more. To deepen your competence, to learn to coach a wide range of clients in a variety of situations, and to grow your services and business, continue through the full Foundation Program. Take these courses in orderStrengths-Based Coaching, Brain-Based Coaching, Life & ADHD Coaching and Organizer Coach Integration to become a Graduate of a Comprehensive Life Coach Training Program.

You may pause your coach education after any of the five foundation courses, then continue your training months or years later. During this period, you may audit a course you have completed.

Foundation Program
Advanced Coach Training
Certification-Mandated

The Coach Approach training program curriculum is designed to meet the requirements for five separate CERTIFICATION PROGRAMS, listed below. These certifications are administered by The Institute for Applied Coaching. Certification requirements also include client hours, mentor coaching, etc.

These are the same courses listed above on the Advanced Training Schedule.

Professional organizers and ADHD coaches who have a minimum of 60 coach-training hours and 75 paid coaching client hours are welcome in these courses -- at this time, however, the four certifications can only be earned by our Foundation Graduates who continue into these graduate courses.

Coach Approach / Institute for Applied Coaching has been recognized by the International Coach Federation as an Accredited Coach Training Program (ACTP) in recognition of the training and standards that support our four PCC-equivalent credentials, listed below. Any component of our program (individual courses or the Certified Organizer Coach Foundation Program) are considered ACSTH — or Approved Coach-Specific Training Hours.

While the above charts show when specific advanced courses have been scheduled, the Certification Courses Timetable (below and in the downloadable PDF) indicates the course scheduling patterns in a 2-year overview. Specifically, it indicates the time of year and the frequency of scheduling for the individual advanced courses required for each credential.

Timetable for Graduate-level Certificate-Mandated Courses

The typical scheduling of these courses is indicated here to facilitate your training plans for certification. To determine exact dates and times of scheduled courses, see Advanced Training Schedule or Registration Page.

Certificate-Mandated Courses & Scheduling Patterns

for our Certified Coach Training Program

To earn one of these credentials one must first graduate from the 60+-hour, five-course, Coach Approach Certified Organizer Coach Foundation Program (Coaching Essentials, Strengths-Based Coaching, Brain-Based Coaching, Life & ADHD Coaching and Organizer Coach Integration). Coaches trained elsewhere (60+ training & 75-client hrs.) are welcome in most courses, but are not eligible for these credentials.

Credentialing also requires 10 hours of mentor coaching, seven hours of which can be met in a small group setting. For more info, see the Lab and Mentoring Courses (CCIs, GMC, AGMC) on the Advanced Coaching page.

CAOC, COLC, PCOC and CPLC applicants may choose from any other advanced CA courses to meet the required 125 training hours.
